Terms of use
Effective: Sunday, 25 October 2026
These terms apply to the PanchangMitra Android app and the website https://panchangmitra.com. By using either, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use PanchangMitra.
1. What PanchangMitra provides
PanchangMitra calculates the Hindu Panchang, muhurtas, festival and vrat dates for the city you choose, and sets alarms and reminders based on them. It also offers puja and vrat guides.
2. Religious information is for guidance
- Panchang and muhurta timings are calculated by the Drik method for your selected city. Different traditions, regions and panchangs may observe some festivals or vrats on a different day or at a different time. Follow your family tradition and consult your priest for important rituals.
- The puja and vrat guides in the app are drafts that have not yet been reviewed by a pandit, and are marked as such.
- Health notes about fasting are general information, not medical advice. If you are pregnant, ill, elderly or take medication, ask a doctor before fasting.
3. Alarms depend on your phone
We work hard to make alarms ring on time, but Android settings and phone makers’ battery savers can delay or stop them. Keep notifications and exact alarms allowed, and exclude PanchangMitra from battery optimisation. Do not rely on PanchangMitra alone where missing an alarm could cause harm.
4. Your account
You can use the app as a guest. If you sign in with Google, keep your Google account secure. You can sign out at any time and ask us to delete your account — see Delete your account. How we handle data is described in the Privacy policy.
5. Acceptable use
Do not misuse PanchangMitra: no reverse-engineering for the purpose of copying it, no attempts to disrupt the service, and no use that breaks the law.
6. Ownership
The PanchangMitra name, logo, app, website and their content belong to us. City data comes from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0). You may share calendar pages from the website with a link back to the source.
7. Third-party services
Optional sign-in is provided by Google. Google’s own terms apply to your use of its services.
8. No warranty
PanchangMitra is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be error-free, uninterrupted or that every timing will match every tradition.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of PanchangMitra, including a missed alarm or a ritual performed at a different time.
10. Changes
We may update these terms. We will change the effective date above, and tell you in the app if a change is significant. Continuing to use PanchangMitra after an update means you accept it.
11. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Indian courts.
12. Contact
These terms are also available in Hindi. If the two differ, the English version applies.
